Ubuntu: How to disable unused microphone devices


  •     sudo apt install pavucontrol
  •     Launch pavucontrol
  •     Go to the "Configuration" tab at the very right
  •     Disable your webcam's microphone by choosing "Off" from the dropdown menu.
